Hi there! My name is: Marge
& Mom (5 kids)
& Gramz (10 grandkids)
& MaggieMoo (I love cows!)
& ChickiePooh (love chickens too!)

So happy to meet you!
Hope you enjoy your visit here!

I'm a Single Senior living alone (and loving it!) in northern Ohio.

Are you a Senior who lives alone?girl Are you an independent, physically active adult who by choice or by chance find yourself "LIVING ALONE" and liking it (or even hating it, for that matter)?   Well then, I am soooo glad you found me!   Grab a cup of coffee & make yourself at home and let's talk!!

Some of us are apartment dwellers, some live in condos and some in retirement communites, some of us live in single homes scattered throughout our major cities or suburbs and some of us live on farms. We are EVERYWHERE!  As Senior "home aloners", it is up to  us to solve some situations that are uniquely . . . . OURS. The goal of this site is to help you do just that. Hope you enjoy your time here and find some information that makes life easier.

sometimes we dance alone Octogenarian Edith McCall writes: "at some point in our adult years, more and more of us find ourselves living alone and lacking a partner in the 'dance of life' ". Read more of what she has to say HERE

Her book: "Sometimes We Dance Alone", is available at any local bookstore or at your public library.

Another interesting short story is written by: Renie Burghardt. She writes that divorce results in many of us living alone because we choose not to remarry. For Rene, living alone leads her to following a dream and untold happiness. Click HERE to read more.

Some of articles listed in the column to the LEFT may help solve some of the situations we encounter & save a little money too! There are far to many to list here so be sure and check out the link to the entire series and pick the ones that address your unique circumstances.

http://www.unmarriedamerica.org/column-one/7-17-06-solo-seniors.htm http://www.senioryears.com/alone.html http://seniors-site.com/widowm/lonely.html Older women who find themselves going it alone might consider purchasing a book on the subject, such as "A Woman's Guide to Living Alone" by Pamela Stone. Or solo singles of either gender might consider reading "Living Alone Creatively" by Stanley E. Ely.

Some of you have lived alone for a while now & are quite accustomed to routinely handling these issues. Others are "newbies" and could really use some help.   So, please help with your suggestions or solutions! A quick message to me with a link to some good information would be nice! So if you have some; please send it along !

A Prayer of: "One Who Lives Alone"

I live alone, Dear Lord, stay by my side. In all my daily needs be my guide.
Grant me good health; for that, indeed, I pray; to carry on my work from day to day.

Keep pure my thoughts, my mind, my every deed. Let me be kind in my neighbor's need.
Spare me from fire, from flood, malicious tongues; from thieves, from fear and evil ones.

If sickness or an accident befall then humbly, Lord, I pray You hear my call.
And when I'm feeling low or in despair, lift up my heart & help me in my prayer.

I live alone, dear Lord, yet have no fear; because I feel your presence ever near. Amen.
